Understanding Coeliac Disease comic launch

We are excited to invite you to the launch of an original comics anthology, Understanding Coeliac Disease. This comic  brings together different perspectives on the condition, which affects 1 in 100 people, through a beautifully designed work, produced in partnership with the charity Coeliac UK. Each story is illustrated by Ink Pot affiliated artists, including Rebecca Horner, Catriona Laird, Ashling Larkin, Norrie MillarKatie Quinn, Helen Robinson, and Letty Wilson.

The launch details are as follows:

Date: Thursday 16th May, 2019
Time: Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm start
Venue: Dundee Comics Creative Space
Cost: FREE

The anthology presents valuable insights on coeliac disease and is designed to promote conversations about living with the condition. The launch, timed to coincide with Coeliac Disease Awareness Week is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the theme of the comic and meet the writers and artists involved in the project, as well as representatives from Coeliac UK.

Starting at 7:00pm, the launch will feature brief talks with storytellers, artists and Coeliac UK focusing on the creation of the comic.

There will be wine and refreshments on the night with copies of the comic available for free.

Dundee Decides

A few weeks ago Ink Pot were commissioned to produce a comic to help promote and explain Dundee City Council‘s new ‘Dundee Decides‘ initiative which launched on January 29th. This is a participatory budgeting exercise where the people of Dundee help decide which priorities are funded through an online voting process.
