Did you know that you can study comics at the University of Dundee and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design? DCCS was set up by the Comics Studies department in Dundee, and many of our artist/facilitators are graduates of the courses offered there. We are very proud and privileged to be part of the Comics Studies community in the city.
The Masters in Comics and Graphic Novels is the only course of its kind in the UK, and Dundee is one of only a handful of institutions in the world offering the opportunity to study comics at postgraduate level. Every year students from around the world come to Dundee to study comics. For more information about the course, including testimonials from former students and how to apply, click on the links above. We look forward to seeing you in Dundee!

Ink & Pixels ends this coming Saturday (26th November). The exhibition was curated by Louise Quirion and has been a great success – it was billed as the number one thing to see in Dundee this month!
This free exhibition is an opportunity to discover (or re-discover) Dundee’s comic scene! From The Beano to Treehouse, and all points in between. Humorous comics, serious comics, big and small, drawn with ink and pixels… This exhibition highlights contemporary graphic creation in Dundee. It also offers the chance to see comics by the next up-and-coming generation of comics makers – the DCCS Comics Clubbers!
Curator Louise Quirion will be on hand on Saturday to talk about the exhibition and provide information about the comics and artists. Open 12 to 6pm in DCCS HQ at Unit 7, The Vision Building, 20 Greenmarket, Dundee, DD1 4QB.
Look out for details of our next exhibition coming soon!

In this week’s DCCS studio artists’ webcomic David Robertson and William McGonagall have some more musings on the Tay Bridge.
